Bessemer City – Sheila Jean Hullender Ledford, 65, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on September 1, 2021.
Sheila was a native of Kings Mountain; she was born on November 24, 1955 to the late Carroll Nichols and Virginia Hullender. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a niece, Casey.
She was a member of Kings Mountain Family Worship Center. Sheila was a proud Mental Health Nurse and worked for Monarch many years. She also had her Masters Degree in Early Childhood Development.
Sheila is survived by her loving husband of 14 years, Fred Lee Ledford; her sons, Nathan Wray, Marc (Lisa) Wray; her grandchildren, Shoahanna, Alley, Abigail, Madison, Jentezen, Josh and Justin; sisters, Debra (Ray) Garris, Lisa (Sonny Gibson); nieces and nephew, Brittany, Trevor, and Amanda
A Celebration of Life service will be 3:00 p.m., Sunday, September 5th at Kings Mountain Family Worship Center, 1818 Shelby Road, Kings Mountain with Dr. Roger Woodard officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. prior to the service.
Interment will be at Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mountain with the releasing of the doves.
Pallbearers will be Ted Ledford, Eric McGugan, Josh Bell, Mark Ruby and Sonny Gibson.
Due to the Covid-19 outbreak, if you feel the need to stay home, a card or phone call
to the family will be appreciated.
