Gastonia – Sunny Monia Hall Greene, 78 passed away on February 8, 2021 at the Robin Johnson House. She was born in Anderson, South Carolina on July 27, 1942 to the late Buford and Bertie Mae Tribble Hall. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Johnny Robert Greene, Sr., her son, Johnny Robert Greene, Jr., her siblings, Jack Teasley, Joyce Teasley, Sarah Teasley Flowers, Franklin Thomas Teasley, and Jimmy Hall.
Sunny attended West 5th Avenue Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Sunny worked at Covenant Village for many years where she enjoyed the residents and staff.
Survivors include her grandchildren, Andrew Jacob Greene and J.R. Greene, III; mother of the grandchildren, Mary Greene; niece, Pam Flowers and numerous nieces and nephews as well as many beloved friends.
A Memorial Graveside Service will be 2:30 p.m., Monday, February 15th at Gaston Memorial Park, Dogwood III section with Pastor Dale Lawing officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Judes Children's Research Hospital, Post Office Box 318, Memphis, TN 38101 www.stjude.org
