Susan Patterson

Bessemer City – Susan Paulette Patterson, 56, of Bessemer City, NC, Passed away Wednesday morning, August 19, 2020 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center. She was the daughter of Dorothy Gneda and the late Oscar Wiley Patterson. She was a native of Gaston County, NC. She was retired from Covenant Village in Gastonia, NC and was a member of South Marietta Street Baptist Church.

In addition to her mother, Miss Patterson is survived by her stepfather, Robert Gneda, brothers: Chris (Ginger) Patterson, Wiley (Rita) Patterson, Kenneth (Teresa) Patterson, and Ricky Patterson; sisters: Wanda Patterson and Jane Miller. She was affectionately known as "Aunt Susie" by her nephews and nieves; Tyler Patterson, Spencer (Lillie) Patterson, Tonya Phillips, Shannon Patterson, Michael Spake, Kimberly (Josh) Dobbins, and Gail Miller. She is also survived by six great nephews and nieces: Madison Alexander, Maeson Patterson, Anderson Patterson, Layla Ciokajlo, Jameson Patterson, and Timothy Dobbins. She was predeceased by her sister Teresa Ann Patterson.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held 3:00pm Sunday August 23rd, 2020 at Westview Baptist Church, Fairview Drive Gastonia, and will be officiated by Rev. Scott Rudisill and Rev. Eddie Ramsey. There will be time for visitation one hour prior to the service.

The family will be at the home of Robert and Dorothy Gneda.
