Kings Mountain – Tamie Kelley Smith, 53, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on December 27, 2020 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Seneca, SC on July 13, 1967 to John and Gail Kelley. She was preceded in death by her nephew and niece, Seth Kelley and Leah Shipman.
Tamie was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church. She went to work for Bellsouth (now AT&T) the same week she married the love of her life; where she worked all of her life and gave over 34 years of dedicated service. Tamie loved to travel and riding in the Jeep for hours sightseeing and listening to music. She enjoyed bird watching while drinking her coffee each day. Tamie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend who will be greatly missed!
Survivors include her loving husband of 34 years, Larry Smith; sons, Brandon Kyle Smith and JonMark Smith (Jonna Lynn Fronk); grandson, Kaissen River Longoria; parents, John and Gail Kelley; brother, Reverend James Kelley (Heather); sisters, Rebecca Bolton (Tracy); Michelle Alexander and Amanda Herndon (Danny); numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation for family and friends will be 12:30 – 1:45 p.m., Wednesday, December 30th at First Free Will Baptist Church, 2316 Union Road, Gastonia, NC 28054 and the Celebration of Life Service will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor James Kelley and Pastor Darin Gibbs officiating.
Memorials may be made to Cleveland County Hospice, 951 Wendover Heights Drive, Shelby, NC 28120.
