Teresa Teal Walker

Teresa Walker, a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and loyal friend, passed away on August 13, 2023, at CaroMont Regional Medical Center. She was born on August 6, 1944, and spent her life spreading love and joy to everyone she met.

Teresa dedicated most of her life to her career as a secretary at McLean Tank Company. For over 45 years, she worked diligently and brought her warm smile and kind nature to the workplace. Her commitment and professionalism were an inspiration to her colleagues.

Outside of work, Teresa's true joy came from her family. She was married to John C. Walker, Jr. for an incredible 60 years. Together, they built a strong foundation of love and support that served as an example to all who knew them. Teresa's children, Jeremy Walker and Jessica Absher, were cherished by their mother. She took pride in being there for every milestone in their lives.

Teresa's grandchildren held a special place in her heart. Sullivan, Sadie, Stella, and Shepherd brought immeasurable happiness into her life. She showered them with love and affection, creating everlasting memories that will be treasured by the family forever.

Family was everything to Teresa. She adored her brother Bob and his wife Naomi Teal along with her sister Suzanne Inskip.

In addition to her immediate family, Teresa had a multitude of wonderful friends who brought laughter, joy, and companionship into her life. Their friendship provided solace during difficult times and made every celebration even more special.

A memorial service will be held in honor of Teresa at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home and Cremation in Gastonia with Pastor Dickie Spargo officiating on August 15th, 2023. The service will begin at 1:00 PM and will be a cherished opportunity for family and friends to come together and remember Teresa's beautiful life. The funeral home, located at 2916 Union Road, will provide a comforting atmosphere to reminisce and share stories of the remarkable woman we have lost.

Teresa Walker will forever be remembered for her radiant smile, gentle spirit, and unwavering love for those around her. She touched the lives of countless individuals with her kindness and generosity. May her legacy serve as a reminder to us all to cherish our loved ones and live each day with love, compassion, and grace.
