Terry "Coot" Paul Davis

Terry “Coot” Paul Davis, 65, a beloved member of community, passed away peacefully on August 31, 2024 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Born on October 6, 1958, in Fayetteville, North Carolina, Coot was the son of Paul Edward Davis and Millie Marie Turner Davis. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his siblings, Barbara Ollis, Kenneth Davis, Mary Davis, and Edward “Bimbo” Davis. Coot dedicated many years of his life working as a brick mason. One of Coot’s favorite pastimes was fishing, his family and especially his grandkids. Coot is survived by his wife of 44 years, Linda Adams Davis, who stood by his side through thick and thin. He also leaves behind his children, Misty Payseur (Beth Martin), Bobby Davis (Summer), Heidi Lamberth (Curtis), Jason Davis (Leah), Heather Davis and Joseph Lowery; grandchildren, Payton Adams (Landon Via), Dylan Owenby, Ashton Owenby, Laila Snyder, Jesse Ledford, Taylyn Ledford, Hailey Lamberth, Austin Lamberth, Zachary Lamberth, Paisley Lamberth, Javontae Lowery, Raelynn Via, Austin Davis, Zachary Robinson and Harley Martin and several other grandchildren; and a sister, Anna Davis Hannah; he also had several nieces and nephews.

 In memory of Coot, A Celebration of life service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 3, 2024 in the Chapel at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home with Pastor Randy Stiles officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cancer Services of Gaston County, 306 S. Columbia Street, Gastonia, NC 28054 or Hillview Baptist Church, 403 Dallas Stanley Hwy., Dallas, NC 28034
