Gastonia – Reverend Terry James Gibson, 64 went home to be with his Lord and Savior on February 23, 2022, at Novant Health-Presbyterian Hospital.
He was born in Gaston County on February 4, 1958, to the late Jim and Carrie Bell Gibson. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, James, Bud, Mary, Roy, Howard, Robert Gibson, and Nellie Ledford.
Terry enjoyed fishing and the beach, and most of all found joy in making many happy memories with his family.
Left to cherish Terry's memories is his loving wife of 41 years, Tammy Robinson Gibson, his children, Mandy Gibson Champion and husband Brandon and Jason Gibson and wife Jennifer; grandchildren, Lexie Dunn, Chloe Gibson, Makenize Harris, Atleigh Gibson, Kaelye Owens, Madison Gibson, Sawyer Barber and Jemma Gibson; brothers, Paul and Dan Gibson, sister, Ellie Rhyne; mother in law, Myrle Bates and many wonderful nieces and nephews
The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 26, 2022, from 12:30 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. at Cedar Grove Baptist Church, 1326 Cedar Avenue, Gastonia. A Celebration of Life service will follow at 1:30 p.m., at Cedar Grove Baptist Church with Reverend David Stewart and Reverend George Langley officiating. Interment will be private at Gaston Memorial Park, Garden of Prayer section.
