Theresa Lofaso Carollo

Theresa Lofaso Carollo, 86, passed away peacefully on October 27, 2020 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center, Gastonia, North Carolina. She was born on March 26, 1934 in Brooklyn, New York and is the daughter of the late Salvatore Lofaso, Sr. and Angelina Mirabella Lofaso.
Theresa was a loving daughter, mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother. She will be truly missed by so many. She was an Ordained Minister and had an on-line ministry service.
She is survived by two daughters, Mary Purvis (Dave) of Gastonia, Anjela Pandolfo of Islip Terrace, New York; two sons, Joseph Carollo (Betty), Salvatore Carollo (Kathy) of Texas; one sister, Patricia Gerstein of New York; 11 grandchildren,
Michael Carollo (Patti), Gina Pinto (Shane Williams), Janine Pinto, David Purvis, Kelsey Purvis, Joette Lama (Anthony "T.J ."), Sarah Bahrenburg (Daniel), Salvatore Carollo, Jr. (Stacy), Anthony Carollo (Amber), Daniel Carollo (Patricia), Natalie Griffin (Bo); 11 great grandchildren, Benjamin Williams, Makenli MacLennan, Miles Lama, Simon Lama, Autumn Carollo, Aaron Carollo, Salvatore Carollo III, Sophia Carollo, Blake Covey, Owen Griffin, Olivia Griffin .
She was preceded in death by her parents; step-mother, Katherine Lofaso; son, Peter Carollo; brother, Salvatore Lofaso, Jr; son-in-law, Robert Pandolfo; and former spouse, Joseph Carollo.
The family will receive friends at their home, 2023 Shannon Drive, Gastonia, North Carolina from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Saturday, October 31, 2020.
Interment will be private and at a later date.
