Tim Edward Daye

Valdese – Timothy Edward Daye, 54, passed away on September 14, 2022 at his residence.

Tim was born in Gaston County on November 27, 1967 to Lamar and Carolyn Daye.

Tim loved everything outdoors especially boating and fishing in offshore tournaments. He enjoyed racing and had been racing as a hobby since he was 17. If it had a motor, he could fix it or drive it. He loved his dogs and any animal but most of all he loved his family and leaves behind many happy memories that they will cherish.

In addition to his parents Lamar and Carolyn Daye, those left to cherish Tim’s memory is his girlfriend of over two years, Jennifer Vance; brother, Kevin Day (Cynthia Loggines); sister, Kim Gurley (Tom); nephew, Matt Gurley; and his niece, Samantha Dover.

A Memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, September 24, 2022 at Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Criswell officiating.
