Bessemer City – Timothy Matthew Medlock, 51, passed away at Select Specialty Hospital in Greensboro, NC, on June 13, 2021.
He was born in Gaston County on March 8, 1970 to Eugene Medlock and the late Linda Chesney Medlock.
Timothy was spent his career working for the City of Gastonia. He was an avid Green Bay Packers fan along with the rest of his family. He was also a Carolina Tar Heels basketball fan. Timothy enjoyed fishing, spending time swimming at his sister's house, and making memories with his family.
Left to cherish his memories is his father, Eugene Medlock; sons, Matthew Medlock, and Jonathan Medlock; sisters, Melinda Medlock Bolin (John), and Deborah Medlock Dailey; nieces, Heather Smith, and Brittany Severance; nephew, Brandon Bolin; two great-nieces, Madison and Mackenzie; uncle, Johnny Chesney; and a special lifelong friend Crystal Bragg Duncan.
A Celebration of Life service will be 3:00 p.m., Thursday, June 17th at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Kevin Witt officiating. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service.
Burial will follow at Olney Presbyterian Church Cemetery, 251 Olney Church Road, Gastonia, North Carolina. Pallbearers will be Matthew Medlock, Jonathan Medlock, Brandon Bolin, John Bolin and Ray Dailey.
