Tony Raymond Jenkins

Tony Raymond Jenkins, 57 of Cherryville, N.C. passed away suddenly at his home in Cherryville on Thursday, August 22, 2024. He was born in Gaston County on August 8, 1967. He is preceded in death by his father, Lee Raymond Jenkins and his mother, Axie Garland Eury, and his grandparents.

Tony loved to play his guitar and he enjoyed his music at very loud volumes. He loved to deer hunt and he loved to fish, mostly with his grandson Jordan. He loved his garden and Tony loved to grow peppers, a hobby he shared with his children. One of Tony’s most cherished activities was going for a ride with Ms. Rosie, his companion who never left his side. It was often quoted by him “I’m driving Ms. Rosie”.

Tony is survived by his loving wife Sandy Jenkins; his sons, Wesley Jenkins of Lincolnton, and Jesse Jenkins (Asia) of Kings Mountain; his daughter Caitlin Goyette (Chris) of Cherryville. His first daughter before he had kids, Miranda King; his grandchildren, Jordan Jenkins (00 Alt Jenkins), Drysten Jenkins and Alex Goyette. He also leaves behind a special niece, Amber Beatty and his faithful companion, his dog Ms. Rosie. 

A memorial service will be held at 3:00, Tuesday, August 27, 2024 at Heavenly View Baptist Church, 1000 Shady Retreat Lane, Iron Station, N.C. 28080 with Reverend Michael Goyette officiating.
