Troy Glenn Payseur

Troy Glenn Payseur, 72, passed away on March 17, 2023 at his residence surrounded by his family.

He was born in Gaston County, North Carolina on October 12, 1950 to the late Grover Glenn and Sarah Walters Payseur. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Kevin Dwayne Payseur.

Troy enjoyed fishing, dirt track and drag racing, and working on cars. Most of all he will be remembered as a man that loved his family above all else. He leaves many happy memories to be cherished by all those who knew and loved him.

Troy is survived by his beloved wife of 46 years, Merita Payseur; daughter, Linda Holland and her husband Lamar; son, Jason Payseur and his wife Nicole; brother, Barry Payseur and his wife Ann; grandchildren, Kayla, Megan, Brandon, Jesse, Karina, Madison, Aliyah, and Wade; and his great-grandchildren, Kaylyn, Stephanie, Ashton, Waylon, Jade, Laural, and Easton.

The family will receive friends from 5:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will follow at 6:30 p.m. in the Withers and Whisenant Chapel with Pastor Shannon Williams officiating.
