Dallas, NC – Vicki Ratchford Cloninger, 66, formerly of Dallas, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 6, 2021 at her residence with her loving family by her side.
Vicki was born and raised in Dallas, NC and was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Vicki enjoyed attending Bethlehem Church with her father Ken and sister Roxann. She was a very loving and kind person; she never met a stranger and always had a sweet little laugh. Vicki enjoyed trips to the beach with her family and friends. She was born in Gaston County on June 29, 1954 to Wayne Kenneth Ratchford, Sr. and the late Claudette Moody Ratchford. She was a graduate of North Gaston High School. Vicki had a wonderful career at the Woodshed for many years. She was a loving daughter, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to so many.
Vicki was preceded in death by her mother, Claudette Ratchford; her daughter Emily Kathyrn Cloninger; her beloved grandparents, Aaron Kettron Moody and Mamie "Nannie" Harris Moody.
Vicki is survived by her loving daughter, Amy Cloninger Payne and husband Mike; her father W. Kenneth Ratchford; her grandchildren, Taylor Standridge and her daughter McKenna Grace, Austin Standridge, Kailey and Aiden Butler; her sisters, Roxann Ratchford Jimison and husband Scott; Roma Byrd and husband Rogie; brother, Kenny Ratchford and wife, Catherine; as well as many wonderful friends.
Vicki's family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m., Saturday March 13, 2021 at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home with a Celebration of Life service to follow at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel with Pastor Dale Lawing officiating with remembrances by her family and friends.
