Vickie Darby Beaty

Gastonia – Vickie Darby Beaty, 66, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on April 6, 2023.

Vickie was adopted in Gaston County on January 18, 1957 to the late Dora Darby. In addition to her mother, she is preceded in death by her brother, Jeff Darby.  

Vickie was a faithful Christian who loved her Lord Jesus. She was a Dallas Cowboys fan and watched Nascar and her favorite driver was Chase Elliott. Vickie was especially close with her mother, Dora, who she missed dearly. She loved spending time with her family and friends. She leaves many happy memories to be cherished by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her sons, Mark Currin (Tiffany) and Joshua Beaty; her daughter, Ashley Currin (Larry); brothers, Dean Darby and L.C.; sisters, Tina Golden, Becky, and Melanie; grandchildren, Amelie Currin and Lily Galloway; and her special friend, Jackie Bundy.

The family will receive friends at Withers & Whisenant Funeral Home on Friday, April 14, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Levine Childrens Hospital.
