Virginia "Jenny" Mason Bridges

Virginia “Jenny” Mason Bridges, 93, entered into Heaven on Tuesday, May 9, 2023 at Brookdale, Robinwood with her loving family by her side.  Virginia was born in Gaston County and is the daughter of the late Robert Henry Mason and Flora Calhoun Mason on May 13, 1929.  She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 50 years, James Edgar Bridges.

Virginia retired from Wix Corporation.  She is a member of Bessemer City Church of God and was formerly a member of Yorkwood Church of God. She was a former Adult Sunday School Teacher at Yorkwood Church of God.  Jenny was a Prayer Warrior at Yorkwood Church of God and Bessemer City Church of God.  She has throughout her life read the Bible thru and thru for over 30 years.

Virginia was a loving daughter, wife, sister and she will truly be missed by her loving family and friends. 

Virginia is survived by her loving sisters, Ruth Hamilton and husband Jim, Jeri Smith, Bobbi Dellinger and husband Jerry, Ritta Reep and husband Charles; loving brothers, Robert Mason and wife Teirney, Steven Mason and wife Cecilia and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive family and friends from 1:00 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. Monday, May 15, 2023 at Bessemer City Church of God, 701 Gastonia Highway, Bessemer City with a Celebration of Life Service to follow at 2:00 p.m. Monday at Bessemer City Church of God with Bishop Harold Dean Ashe, Jr. and Rev. Bobbi Dellinger officiating.  Pallbearers will be Brian Mason, Jacob Mason, Bobby Mooney, J. J. Dellinger, Terry Smith, Jamie Dellinger.

Interment will follow at Gaston Memorial Park with the Releasing of the Doves Ceremony.
