Dallas – Vivian Irene Friday Hastings, 97 passed away on November 16, 2021 at White Oak
Manor.
She was born in Gaston County on May 5, 1924 to the late Oliver Clyde Friday, Sr. and Belle Costner Friday. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband Thomas Hastings.
Vivian was a member of Community Baptist Church. She retired from J. P. Stevens after many years of dedicated service. Vivian also worked at the Little Big Horn and loved spending time there with co-workers and friends. She enjoyed reading and camping as hobbies. Vivian was a people person who never met a stranger. She was a loving and kind mother, sister and friend to many.
Survivors include her daughter, Vicky Lynch and husband Dewey Lynch, Jr.; and sister, Vonne Keever.
The family extends a heartfelt thank you to the staff of White Oak Manor in Kings Mountain for their care and compassion provided to Vivian.
