Sue Eubanks Farr, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, peacefully left this world on October 26, 2025, at the Stanley Total Living Center in Stanley, North Carolina, surrounded by her loving family. Born on January 15, 1945, in Arab, (Marshall County) Alabama, Sue lived a life filled with warmth, compassion, and unwavering dedication to her loved ones.
Sue retired after 33 years of devoted service at Wix Filters, where her commitment and work ethic were evident to all who knew her. Beyond her professional achievements, she cherished her roles as a mother and grandmother, finding her proudest accomplishments in the happiness and success of her daughters and grandchildren.
Sue's life was enriched by her many interests. She found joy in reading and staying connected with her long-distance family through social media, particularly on Facebook. She reveled in memorable trips with her daughters, exploring new destinations and sharing experiences that would become cherished memories—whether it be cruises, trips to Amish Country, Pennsylvania or the familiar excitement of attending auctions every Friday night, these moments reflected her vibrant spirit and love for adventure.
A dedicated member of Chapel Grove Baptist Church for an impressive 47 years, Sue found immense joy within her church family. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, guiding her values and nurturing her relationships. It was here that she made lasting bonds that filled her life with love and companionship, underscoring her gentle and kind-hearted nature.
Sue leaves behind her beloved daughters and their husbands, Gina Odem (Clay), Tonya Wood (Chip), and Shawna Jarrell (Scott), along with wonderful grandchildren: Jonathan Odem (Emily), Jason Odem, Matthew Jarrell, Alex Jarrell, Nathan Jarrell, and Amanda Williams (Brandon). She also warmly welcomes the newest addition to her family, a great-granddaughter, Annie Gwen Odem, born just a day after her passing, reminding us of the enduring cycle of love that Sue so cherished.
Sue is also survived by her brothers, Ted Eubanks (Shirley) and Dennis Eubanks, and her sister, Vickie Brooks (Edwin). Despite the grief of her absence, Sue's family finds solace in the countless memories they created together that will forever remain etched in their hearts.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Silas Alexander and Ozella Campbell Eubanks, and her beloved husband of 48 years, Guy Farr. In their remembrance, her family will hold dear the values and love that Sue instilled in them.
Sue's legacy of love, compassion, and remarkable spirit will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her.
