Lincolnton – William Marshall "Bill" Wilson, III, 60, passed away on January 16, 2022, at his residence. He was a native of Mecklenburg County, born May 30, 1961, to the late William M. Wilson, II, and Jean Hardee Wilson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Timothy S. Wilson.
Bill worked in automobile sales most of his life. He was a loving husband, stepfather, brother, and friend who will be greatly missed.
Survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Claudette Navey Wilson; step-sons, Christopher Stroupe and Craig Bartish; 1 step-grandchild; brother, David Wilson; 2 nephews and 1 niece.
Visitation will be held for family and friends 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 5, 2022, at Love Memorial Baptist Church, 311 E. Walnut Avenue, Gastonia, NC 28054 with a Celebration of Life Service to follow at 2:00 p.m., with Reverend Mike Criswell officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to Pisgah United Methodist Church, 2582 Gastonia Hwy., Lincolnton, NC 28092.
