William Eugene "Gene" Bryson

William Eugene "Gene" Bryson, a beloved member of the Gastonia community, passed away suddenly on November 22, 2023, at CaroMont Regional Medical Center. He was born on October 3, 1942, in Gastonia, North Carolina, to his parents William Taft Bryson and Ruby Geneva Cabe Bryson. Gene was known for his dedication to his work in the textile industry as a rigger and leaves behind a legacy of hard work and commitment.

Gene's career in textiles spanned most of his life, where he made meaningful contributions to the industry. His attention to detail and strong work ethic earned him the respect of colleagues and friends alike. Despite the demands of his profession, Gene always prioritized spending time with his family. He cherished every moment shared with loved ones and created countless memories that will be treasured for generations to come.

Outside of work, Gene found joy in simple pleasures. He had a passion for watching TV and immensely enjoyed watching racing and sports. These hobbies allowed him to unwind and immerse himself into an exciting world of speed and competition.

Gene's passing has left a void in the hearts of those who knew him best. He will be dearly missed by all who were fortunate enough to have been touched by his kind spirit. In this time of profound loss, we take comfort in remembering the warmth he brought into our lives.

The memory of Gene's life will be honored during a graveside service at Gaston Memorial Park, Garden of Four Seasons at 2:00 p.m.,Wednesday, November 29, 2023. at 1200 South New Hope Road in Gastonia, North Carolina. Family and friends are invited to come together in remembrance during this time of mourning. Pallbearers will be Michael Singleton, Rodney Singleton, Alex Bryson, Zachary Bryson and Eddie Atkinson.

Gene is survived by his twin sisters Linda Neikirk and Brenda Queen along with her husband Jimmy; his brothers Buck Bryson and wife Claudette, Larry Bryson and wife Carol; and his sister-in-law Gloria Bryson. He was predeceased by his siblings Roy Bryson, Booty Bryson, Betty Morris, and Glenda Singleton. In addition to his siblings, Gene is survived by numerous nieces and nephews who will continue to honor his memory.

During this difficult time, let us find solace in the memories we shared with Gene throughout his life. May he rest in eternal peace, knowing that he has left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
