William Ralph Champion 'Pop' 71 went to be with the Lord on Sunday January 13, 2013 at Gaston Memorial Hospital.
He was a native of Rutherford County NC, born March 5, 1941 to Grover and Ethel Toney Champion.
He was a Vietnam veteran of the US Army, and had retired from Smyre-Carolina Mills, and was also a member of West Cramerton Baptist Church.
Survivors include wife of 39 years Pearl Parris Champion
daughters Sandra Johnson and Patti Miller; son-in-laws Henry Johnson and Ron Sauder; sisters Connie Thomas and Edith Hamm; grandchildren Chris Johnson, Jason and Lindsey Miller, great grandchildren, Alyssa, Alayna and Jordan Miller, Jeremiah McMullen and several nieces and nephews.
