William Stanley Pope

William Stanley Pope, 79, passed away peacefully on December 1,  2023.

He was born in Gaston County, North Carolina on January 6, 1944 to the late Stanley Devest Pope and Vivanee Thomas Pope. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his sister, Beverly Waters.

Stan  was an avid sports fan and his favorite team was the Carolina Tar Heels. Above all, he loved his family and he leaves many happy memories to be cherished by all who knew and loved him. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Cramerton, NC. He was also in the National Guard, and worked in shipping and handling.

He is survived by his sons, Corey Pope(April) and Andy Pope;

sisters, Sue Murdock (Gary) and Sharon Brendle (Jim)
