Dallas – Woodrow Wilson "Peewee" Stillwell, Jr., 78, passed away suddenly on December 14, 2021, at CaroMont Regional Medical Center.
He was born June 5, 1943, in Gaston County, NC. He was the son of the late Woodrow and Helen Stillwell. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Anthony Scott Stillwell; sisters, Rebecca Stillwell Grant and Joan Stillwell Oates; and brother, William Michael Stillwell.
Peewee was a native of Gaston County. He was a loving and devoted husband to Jill and father to his son Todd and grandfather to his great-niece Ecco. He loved to ride his motorcycles and fish. He was a loyal member of the Southern Gentleman Motorcycle Club. He was the owner of Stillwell Grading & Demolition. Peewee was a friend to all and never met a stranger. He was also a moonshine connoisseur with a gift of humor.
Peewee is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Jill Costner Stillwell; son, Jeffery Todd Stillwell; great-niece, Ecco Frady; brothers, Larry Stillwell, and Dean Stillwell; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, many friends, and the Southern Gentleman Motorcycle Club.
A Celebration of Life service for Peewee will be held at Creekside Motorcycle Rally location, 390 Colt Thornburg Road, Dallas NC at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 19th, 2021.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Lutheran Services Carolina, 1416 S. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Salisbury, NC 28145, or to the Gaston County Toy Run for Kids, 122 Dallas Bessemer City Highway, Dallas, NC 28034.
